LET THE CHILDREN COME UNTO ME.
One of our favorite (and often most entertaining) parts of worship is the Children’s Sermon. Reverend Sarah and our church children join together on the stairs at the front of the church to learn about a story from the bible while the adults of the congregation get to listen in as they share with us their observations of the world.
We welcome all children and youth to explore their faith and share their beliefs with their peers and our church community!
Church School is separated into peer groups: preK- 4th grade, 5th & 6th, 7th & 8th and high school. Each classroom follows the DIG IN curriculum. This curriculum provides creative, multi-sensory teaching that immerses your kids in deep Bible learning, helping them to know Jesus personally and grow in relationship with him. Each week the children will learn about different bible stories through video, music, games and bible stories.
Confirmation Class is offered every year to the 9th graders at RCC. Rev. Sarah teaches the class, which runs from September to May. Each student is paired up with an adult mentor and engages in a curriculum designed to encourage questions and develop a sense of individual faith. The class meets once a month, usually the first Sunday evening of the month.
Where kids learn how much God loves them!
Children are always welcome in worship
but we know they can get a little fussy sometimes.
While we love having children fill the sanctuary with their family, we also know that sometimes, they are less interested in listening to the sermon than their parents are! The nursery is open year round but is only staffed during the school year. You can leave your infants and toddlers with her during the service. The nursery is open 10 minutes before worship begins.
